Description

The Porsche 930, as the early 911 turbo is known, has become legend and has the magical combination of stunning lines, aggressive looks, a reputation for being dangerous to inexperienced drivers and a turbo. Where there is almost no fuel-engine car today zónder turbocharging, the Porsche 911 made the "power booster" into how it is still known today. And for good reason, Porsche entered the market in 1975 with the 911 Turbo, a car equipped with the 3.0 six-cylinder boxer with a large KKK turbocharger. With a compression ratio of 6.5:1, the engine produces 260 horsepower and a huge load of torque. The big turbo does very little at lower revs and comes in hard in the mid-range in ééonce. Exactly the area in which many an owner at the time was accelerating on a highway ramp or in a long curve. The 911's powerplant is so aggressive that it earns the car the nickname "Widow Maker. This beautiful and early example was originally delivered on October 12, 1976 and, as evidenced by Porsche's birth certificate, was originally delivered in this very handsome copper shade. Or, as Porsche itself calls it much nicer: Braunkupferdiamant (code 443). With a few more special options, such as the black headliner that contrasts beautifully with the brown leather upholstery and dark brown carpets. Air conditioning is also present, an option that was very exclusive back then and very popular today. The condition of the 930 Turbo you see here can be labeled as "exceptionally beautiful". Not so strange with a mileage of 80,756.

The exterior of the 930 is to take through the proverbial ring. Very clean and with perfect paintwork. The body has no damages and all parts are very tight. Even the black details such as rubbers, door handles and the finish of the early, still flat rear spoiler are in healthy condition. The brown-beige interior is also in excellent condition and matching the overall condition of the car. The seats have clearly suffered very little, and the same is true of steering wheel, shifter and other controls. Then the original Matching Numbers 3.0 turbo, an engine that originated in the RSR and was fitted by Porsche with a massive KKK turbo. In its day, the Porsche 930 Turbo was just about the fastest production car on sale, accelerating from standstill to 100 km/h in a good 5 seconds. Note: we are talking about 47 years ago! A larger intercooler was fitted for better cooling. Also the handling is great, with a Turbo receiving a lot of modifications ex-factory compared to a normal 911. The suspension was revised and larger brakes were fitted. The gearbox is also stronger than on a Carrera, this to cope with the huge torque and power. The engineering of the Porsche is very sound, so it should be a treat to put a lot of miles on this car this summer. A few months ago the Porsche had maintenance for €10,000 to be completely 'on point' again for next season. The Porsche comes with the latest invoices and a birth certificate.A beautiful 930 Turbo in the right execution and with the right specifications. The fact that the Porsche is then also Matching Numbers makes this Braunkupferdiamant-colored rocket on wheels extra covetable.
