In 1976, the 911 Carrera 3.0 appeared. A very special version, as it turned out later, because only 3,687 units were built during the two years it was available. The 3.0 Carrera was equipped with the three-liter engine from the 930, but without a turbocharger. With 200 hp, it is more powerful than the regular 911 of that year. This engine would later become the power source for all models that followed, from the 911 SC to the Carrera 3.2.The 3.0 is sometimes referred to as the subdued version of the 2.7 RS and 2.7 Carrera. Subdued then especially in appearance, in terms of performance it is similar and in top gear even faster than its illustrious predecessors. This 911 Carrera 3.0 was delivered new in 1977 in Verona, Italië. Later, the 911 continued its life in Germany before eventually moving to the Netherlands. Since then, the Carrera has had an excellent life with the best care you could wish for. This care includes, for example, the complete and very expertly performed engine overhaul a year ago. Performed at a specialist, where both the invoices and also the photo reportage of the overhaul clearly shows that the three-liter is in fantastic condition. A year earlier, both the gearbox and the clutch were completely overhauled and renewed where possible. In short: the Carrera simply drives amazingly well. All other technology is carefully maintained, no penny was saved on the maintenance of this Porsche. The silver gray bodywork is clean with neat paintwork. Fittings are all very clean and things like lighting, rubber and plastic parts are all in excellent condition. The interior is particularly clean, with factory black faux leather with the very popular pinstripe fabric upholstery on the center parts of the seats. The entire interior is particularly clean and has a very original feel to it. Not surprisingly, with an original, documented mileage of 144,000 kilometers, such a high-quality Porsche interior still does not give a hoot.At the car comes a hefty binder with bills, photo reports of the revisions, brochures and the original books. Let's not forget Porsche's "birth document," which underscores the authenticity and throbbing engine of this special car.
