Description

motodrome offer this rare original UK right hand drive 1977 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 Targa manual, finished in Grand Prix White with black trim.

One of just 462 RHD cars built.

The 200hp Carrera 3.0 was only produced 1976 to 1977, and used the same die-cast aluminium crank-case as it’s 930 Turbo cousin, married to the 6-bolt flywheel and crank from the Carrera RS, and the 915 gearbox – in this instance the optional 5-speed 915/06

Very unusually for a 911, this one has had just 3 owners from new, with the original owner having had it for it’s first 22 years. And it’s now come directly to us from the last owner, who’s owned it since 2005, kept it garaged, and enjoyed 35000 miles in it.

It’s fitted with options including the aforementioned 5-speed gearbox, front lip and whale tail spoiler, 16in Fuchs alloys (shod with Falken tyres), electric windows, headlamp wash, and black pinstripe sports front seats.
Upgrades include a more modern stereo, a Clifford concept 300 immobiliser with certificate, and a stainless exhaust.

Odometer reading 119000 miles supported by excellent service history. The original maintenance record shows a full 18 stamps, all from Lancaster Colchester, up to 75305 miles in August 1998. This ties in with it having had just one owner for it’s first 22 years, but better still we have a huge sheaf of supporting invoices from Lancaster between 1984 and 1999,
The last owner has kept it garaged in his tenure and has kept it maintained by his local specialist, and there is a further sheaf of bills and photographs of body restoration carried out in 2008.

Last serviced at 115937m

Whilst due to it’s age it’s now MOT and RFL exempt, the previous owner has been diligent enough to have it voluntarily MOT’d annually, and hence it comes with MOT to the end of February 2026, with no advisories.

On our own website, you’ll find our usual 2 videos: a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, which form part of the description.

Based Henley on Thames – viewing by prior appointment.
