Description

Outstanding is the only word to describe this stunning very rare 1987 car. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirms that it is a matching numbers car which came off the production line in March 1987 and was collected from the factory in Stuttgart prior to being shipped to the USA. The certificate confirmed the car was finished in expensive paint to sample 'Pearlglanzeffekt' Pearl White Lustre with electric sports seats trimmed in Black Leather with contrasting Pearl White/Light Grey and Silver Grey inserts to both front and rear seats. Also ordered was an electric sunroof and Limited Slip Diff.

Both the exterior and interior of the car are in beautiful condition and appear much younger than the 35 years of age or so that this pin up model bears. The paintwork is near perfect retaining originality and there has been no accident damage - the original Porsche VIN stickers are still affixed to the luggage compartment lid, engine cover and both doors. Unlike the cars destined for the UK and Europe, being a USA delivered car, the usual corrosion problems and subsequent major repairs have not been required with the original underside in superb factory condition.

The keen eyed enthusiast will already have noticed that this 930 Turbo has some subtle performance upgrades - thankfully, these subtle improvements have not detracted from the beauty of the car. Externally visible are the side cooling vents as per the LE models. As you move around towards the rear of the car the single exit exhaust has been substituted with a full stainless steel sports exhaust with twin tail pipes. Under the hood (engine compartment cover) there is a larger intercooler that almost fills the engine bay!, the turbo is an enlarged KKK K27-7200 unit with Tial Sport wastegate and the dashboard clock has been replaced with an Andial Turbo Boost Guage. Nearly 340 dynamometer proven BHP is now available making this one super flying machine.

The car has been recently serviced with engine oil & filter, fuel filter, air filter and spark plugs all being replaced. The brake fluid has been changed as has the transmission oil which has been re filled with special oil suitable for a Limited Slip Diff. On the road the car feels very sure footed with the sports suspension, recent quality tyres and brakes all coping with the extra horse power without fuss. The car performs very well and if driven hard goes like a train with the noise from the wastegate reminding you of the performance upgrades - the transmission also copes very well with no abnormal noises or worn syncros.

Since arriving in the UK in 2018, the car has been registered correctly with the DVLA. It has been kept in a private collection with very little use - hence the recent re commissioning. It offers a unique opportunity to own an iconic vehicle that was a specially ordered and one that is still in superb condition today and ready to enjoy.

With the UK GBP at an almost record low this vehicle should attract overseas interest. At todays rates, the car could be bought for less than USD 120,000 or around Euro 115,000

We can of course arrange Nationwide Delivery and Overseas shipping.

We have taken detailed videos of the car and once edited will add them to the website very soon, see www.woldsideclassics.co.uk for more information
