Description

Rarely Offered 1990 911/964-based "Rauh Welt Begriff" Porsche
9.8, 9.8, 9.8, 9.8, 9.8.
These are the marks our RWB Europe #7 racing monster received on all aspects in the latest expert appraisal report. Terms like "Excellent to Concours condition" were used. But that is not why this car impresses the real driver.

Besides its "Raw" appearance, this Rauh Welt Begriff is a real performance beast.
The construction undertaken by "Vianen Car Refinish" was not only intended to impress with its looks (and the car certainly does!)But also with its raw power and exceptional driving qualities.
The goal: to build a car that can be driven at the limit.
It seems that "John V" followed the instructions and got the job done.
And da is an understatement.

Performance:

Base car: 1990 Porsche 911/964 Carrera 2
This RWB has 300+ horsepower. The engine was completely rebuilt and updated with a racing crankshaft and a 993 air intake system.
A calibrated APP stainless steel exhaust system finally put the 3.6 Carrera 2 flat-six engine where it needed to be.

Handling:

The 964 Turbo braking system provided stopping power.
A fully adjustable JRZ suspension combined with custom PUR wheels wrapped with Toyo Triple Air rubber ensured proper balance.
The clutch system sourced from a Porsche 964 RS, coupled with the fully rebuilt gearbox, ensures that the car moves easily through its gears, both on the track and on the road.
For weight improvement, a carbon fiber roof was installed.
In the hands of an enthusiastic driver, this car takes curves as if on rails. An air lift system on the front wheels was installed, allowing the car to navigate even in an urban environment.

Exterior:

Of course, we have to talk about the elephant in the room: The impressive RWB bodykit.
Designed by Akira Nakai for the Porsche 964, this kit is a masterpiece.
The current owner chose to smooth the Rauh Welt kit for a different look.
Akira Nakai personally visited twice. The first time to finish the body kit and the second time to do the handling set up.
The smooth body kit, the beautiful Grand Prix white paint, the 3.8 RS wing and PUR wheels ended up being a stunning combination.

Interior:

The interior is everything you would expect from a road car,
with fortunately still a touch of the base car's luxuries like power windows.
You're looking at the usual Porsche 964 clocks, which tell you everything you need to know. Only the added kill switch is different.
A detachable racing steering wheel was installed.
For the seats, lightweight carbon fiber Recaro seats were chosen, keeping you firmly in place during cornering at 5G.
For safety, a certified racing roll cage was installed, which with these great road qualities you will probably never need.
