Description

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at CarFest 2026 on Saturday the 29th of August and Sunday the 30th of August at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.

The Porsche 968 was the final evolution of Porsche’s front-engined, water-cooled transaxle sports cars, a lineage that began with the Porsche 924 in 1976 and developed through the Porsche 944. Built from 1991 to 1995, the 968 combined the balanced handling of the 944 with a heavily revised engine, a more modern design, and improved refinement.

Although it was never a huge sales success, it has become one of the most respected and collectible modern classic Porsches and is a perfect vehicle for entry into Porsche ownership.

The heart of the 968 was its 236bhp M44/43 3.0-litre inline-four, which was the largest four-cylinder engine fitted to a regular production car at the time.

This example has been owned by our vendor for 18 years and has been extremely well looked after during his tenure.

Finished in Guards Red with a grey leather interior and contrasting red piping on the seats, it still presents well and is a smart example of the marque.

It was looked after by Northway Porsche of Reading during its time with our vendor, and there is a full service history with the vehicle by Porsche and Porsche specialists. The service book contains approximately 30 stamps, with the most recent service carried out in 2024, including the cambelt and balance belts, along with a regular oil service. The car is ready to drive and enjoy.

Supplied with its current V5C, a collection of invoices for service and maintenance work, old MOTs, the book pack, fully stamped service book, original driver’s manual, and the current MOT valid until April 2027.

A great opportunity to purchase a well-loved 968 that has been cared for during our vendor's long-term ownership.
