2004 Porsche Cayenne S Dakar powered by the 4.5L V8 producing 340 bhp

The Porsche Cayenne is a series of automobiles manufactured by the German company Porsche since 2002. It is a luxury crossover SUV and has been described as both a full-sized and a mid-sized vehicle. The first generation was known internally within Porsche as the Type 9PA (955/957). It was the first V8-engined vehicle built by Porsche since 1995, when the Porsche 928 was discontinued. It is also Porsche's first off-road variant vehicle since its Super and Junior tractors of the 1950s, and the first Porsche with four doors.With the arrival of our brand new 911 Dakar, we wanted to do something very cool and build our own Cayenne Dakar to go alongside the 911. The Cayenne can be the practical daily whereas the 911 is for the weekends. For this project there was only 1 model of Cayenne suitable and that is the first generation and its facelift. These are the only Cayenne that were actually designed by Porsche to go off-road. From 2010 onwards Porsche designed the Cayenne for the street and shopping mall.

The first generation Cayenne comes with a low range gearbox, lockers and a full 4x4 drivetrain. This makes them very good off-road to begin with. As we love V8’s at Carcave, we opted for the Cayenne S which is powered by the 4.5L V8 producing 340 bhp. She does not hang around… For her exterior we went for the same livery as our 911 Dakar, the classic Rothmans livery of course. The colours of the 911 were scanned to get an exact match for the Cayenne. The livery is really what makes ours stand out. We have installed a Front Runner roof rack with 6 Hella lights, a spare wheel and jerry cans. Yes, we also installed a bottle opener for when you reach the top of the mountain to celebrate with a cold (non-alcoholic) beer! To ensure you have all of the off road grip, we ordered custom Braid wheels with BF Goodrich All Terrain tires. To match the 911 they were painted white. Inside you will find an original black leather interior with a loading bay area in the rear. This is favorable for Belgian road tax and is also very handy for us at Carcave.

To enjoy some good tunes on your road trip, she comes with a Bose sound system, which sounds great. Concerning the mechanics, we opted for the reliable mechanical suspension system which we lifted with a 4 cm lift to give her extra ground clearance and a cooler look. To save the axles, a subframe lowering kit was fitted in conjunction with the lift kit. During off roading you can encounter rocks and sticks, to protect this wonder V8 engine and gearbox, a 5mm thick aluminium underbody protection will keep everything safe. So what are you waiting for?
