Description

Qvale Mangusta for sale

The Qvale Mangusta is a high-performance sports car produced by Qvale Auto Group in 2000-2001. The car was designed by Marcello Gandini, who is known for his work with Lamborghini and other Italian automakers. It was named after the Mangusta, an Italian word for mongoose, which is a predator known for its speed and agility.

The Qvale Mangusta received mixed reviews from automotive critics and enthusiasts. Some praised its performance, handling, and unique design, while others criticized its high price tag, lack of refinement, and limited availability. Qvale Auto Group only produced around 300 units of the Mangusta, and the company eventually went bankrupt in 2003.

Despite its short production run and relatively unknown status, the Qvale Mangusta remains a rare and intriguing sports car that is admired by collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Exterior: The Quale Mangusta for sale here has a super nice paint and the colour (Corallo red pearlescent) combination is just stunning and suitable for such exotic car. The Qvale Mangusta is free from scratches and the Antera wheels specially designed for the Mangusta also look very good. The unique “roto top” is such a cool feature of this car. The middle section of the roof can be taken out and placed in the trunk. Then you can either drive the car as a Targa or with the push of a button the bar and rear screen rolls down to make the car fully open. All the seals for this top have been replaced recently. Another Gandini design feature is the side mirrors fitted to the Qvale. They are supposed to blow away any water on the side screen, so you still have a good vision. It is a nice thought even though I do not think car has even been used or even will be used in the rain.

Interior: The entire Qvale Mangusta cabin is wrapped in this high-quality tobacco coloured leather. It feels truly special to sit in behind the steering wheel. In the centre, there is a brushed aluminium panel with the basic stuff. All gauges and controls work perfectly. When you open the door, the original bar codes stickers are still where the factory put them, and the same underneath the hood.

Engine: The Qvale Mangusta used the same concept as the DeTomaso cars where a big Ford V8 was put in the front to make sure the car is fast and stay fast for a long time.

Top speed: 257 km/h
Acceleration: 0-100km/h in 5,3 seconds
Peak power: 320 hp at 6000 rpm
Transmission: 5 Speed BorgWarner
Brakes: Brembo ventilated discs on all wheels with ABS
History: There were a total of 284 Qvale Mangusta cars produced. An exotic Italian sportscar produced in very limited numbers is something that will mean a good investment if we look in the history books. Please note that these cars cost substantially more than the Ferrari 360 at the time. The stunning example we have here was sold new in USA and came to Sweden 2017-10-19. It had one user in USA and one in Sweden. It comes with all original documentation and literature. It has been very well maintained over the years and the total travel today is only 15,600 miles or 25,000 km! If you have a rare sportscar you are considering to sell, let us know here.
