1934 Rolls Royce Phantom II Sports Saloon
Chassis number: 135RY
Registration number YSY 819
A really beautiful Sports Saloon with division by J. Gurney Nutting. This car was under long term Austrian ownership. It was laid up a couple of years ago due to the ill health of the late owner.
The car has just had a major engine rebuild including a new head, new pistons, line bored crank shaft & new cam followers completed by marque specialists Classics Restoration Services of Chichester. The engine is still being run in & will provide many years of silent trouble free motoring.
The car is finished in a very fetching colour scheme of silver over black with the paint all being excellent. To the front is pale grey leather in excellent order complimented by velour to the rear. The car has lots of burr walnut all of which is in fine order.
The coachwork is rakish in the extreme with a long louvred bonnet sweeping back to a low roof line & angled boot. The spare is rear mounted giving the car a continental look without actually being one. Indeed the extra space is very very welcome making for comfortable capacious seating compared to some short chassis cars I have recently driven.
All in all a particularly pretty car which make a statement wherever it appears.
