Julien's Perspective
SOME THOUGHTS ON THIS MODEL

To waft, or as Shorter Oxford Dictionary states, 'to pass gently through the air', perfectly encapsulates the driving environ of the Shadow II. I've always loved them, seeing them as part of an era of elegance that really doesn't exist nowadays with the onset of modern offerings from Goodwood....of course its a personal opinion, but I defy anybody not to be mightily impressed when sat & driven in such a car, a real sense of occasion.

This rather lovely 1979 car supplied via HR Owen is without doubt a cut above the rest...really top draw Shadow's are becoming increasingly rare but this example ticks pretty much all the boxes, from super low mileage, fabulous colour scheme and offering an almost perfect service history.

Lets elaborate a little further on these individual points.

The mileage is a smidgeon over 38,000 and is fully verified via the vast service records, there are two stamped service books, the second literally full of Ranmore service (Royce) stamps, we have in fact maintained it for the last 20 years. With a large pre-sale inspection and service last month, its completely on the button.

Peacock blue is certainly one of the best exterior factory colours and remains in excellent condition and contrast perfectly with the beige leather interior....as you expect there has been some remedial paint works here and there but certainly presents as one of the nicest original cars I've come across.

There are some nice factory options which seem today of little merit but back in 1979, epitomised complete luxury....these extend to front & rear head rests, picnic tables to rear of each front seat, internally adjustable passenger mirror and rear safety belts.

A large history file accompanies the car with original factory order paper work intact, along with a correct wallet plus owners handbook and the aforementioned two service record books.

If you are considering a Shadow II then I would highly recommend that you come and see this example.
