This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at Supercar Fest 2026 on Saturday, May 16th, at Sywell Aerodrome, Sywell, Northampton, NN6 0BN.
Introduced in 1980 as the successor to the Silver Shadow, the Silver Spirit and its long-wheelbase counterpart, the Silver Spur, marked a new generation for Rolls-Royce and remains an appealing entry into the marque’s modern classics.
Built on the SZ platform with revised suspension, it offers improved ride and handling over its predecessor. The styling was also updated, featuring a lower waistline, increased glass area, and a more modern angular look. For the first time, rectangular headlights graced the front of a Rolls-Royce, and the radiator became wider and squatter.
Powered by a 6.75-litre L410 V8 engine paired with a GM-sourced THM 3-speed automatic gearbox, it provides smooth and unhurried progress.
First registered in 1987 and supplied by Jack Barclay, this example has been in family ownership since 2013 and has covered just 2,000 miles during that period. It now shows less than 66,000 miles on the odometer.
The car is finished in Arran White with a black hide interior and matching carpeting. Equipment includes electrically adjustable front seats with four-position memory, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Blaupunkt stereo.
It is supplied with its original handbooks, previous MOTs and invoices, and its current MOT is valid until February 2027.
A fine addition to a collection of British classics, it is also a comfortable and stylish companion for trips to car shows, weekend cruises, and occasional family weddings.
