"Introduced in 1960, the Saab 96 began to use the V4 engine used until then in the Ford Taunus 15M from 1967 onwards. They were very successful due to their reputation for safety and technological innovation. In Rallies, success was also notable, with unforgettable drivers such as Erik Carlsson, Simo Lampinen, Per Eklund and Stig Blomqvist"
