Description

In the early 1950s, Simca presented the 9 Aronde. A sympathetic sedan, in the segment of the Peugeot 203 and the Renault 4CV. Sympathetic, at that time of all trades and conceived and developed for the general public. The '9' we offer here still makes that general public happy even today, as a multiple participant of the Mille Miglia. This Simca 9 Aronde first hit the road in 1954, when the Mille Miglia was still held annually. The owner who once bought this beautifully gray Aronde new will never have imagined that his car would one day participate in the legendary rally. Nevertheless, in recent years the Aronde has been a welcome guest on the tour that ends in Brescia again from Brescia via Rome. The beautiful comprehensive book with numerous photos is witness to this. The Simca is not only very attractive to look at, he is also in excellent condition. It can hardly be otherwise if you consider that just a few months ago the Aronde participated in ééone of the most gracious rallies in Europe. 'Exceptionally original' is the first thing that comes to mind when seeing the car, both the exterior, interior and technology exude the right atmosphere. Direct eye catcher is of course the roof rack with time correct luggage. Also the interior makes you want to get in and drive immediately. The original dashboard, stylish headliner and beautiful upholstery give a warm, homey feeling. In front of you, simplicity reigns supreme, with a simple semi-circular speedometer, a two-spoke steering wheel and behind it a shifter on the steering column that operates the four-speed transmission. The technology is right up to date. So no surprises with this already simple engineering. The 1,221 cc four-cylinder produces about 45 hp with which the less than 1,000 kilogram saloon can be driven smoothly. A trouble-free classic to enjoy for a long time. Now that registrations for the 2023 Mille Miglia are open, this is one of the nicest classics currently for sale.
