Trade-in car. We have procured for you a Studebaker Avanti from the United States. This barnfind is completely original and runs perfectly, rightfully a very rare specimen. The Avanti was a very special car in the 1960s. The special design of the Avanti came from none other than Raymond Loewy, the man who also designed the Coca-Cola bottle. According to Studebaker, it was "America's only four-passenger high-performance personal car.” High performance the Studebaker certainly was! Its top speed was a whopping 286 kilometers per hour. Our car has only driven 95,695 miles and is technically in top condition. The engine has always been well maintained. The 4.7 liter supercharged V8 engine runs superbly and the four-speed manual transmission shifts tightly and free of play, as it should. The engineering is based on a relatively simple concept (big engine and a supercharger) and therefore actually “bullitproof”. At the time, Studebaker could have used that as well because the Avanti needed to generate attention. Studebaker therefore decided to travel to the Bonneville salt flats with the Avanti and take a stab at several records. In all, the Avanti managed to set an impressive 29. All of those records have been overtaken by the ravages of time, but what still stands is the exceptionally powerful Avanti, even by today's standards. Because the car's body is made entirely of fibreglass, the Studebaker does not suffer from rust. The chassis is also rock hard and in perfect condition. The interior is completely original with a beautiful patina. The nice thing about this Studebaker is that you actually have two options. Drive it as it is, in its technically good condition but with the “barnfind” appearance or completely restore the car to its former glory. Where can you find today an original Avanti with the first paint? THIS VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN OUR ANNEX AND CAN BE VIEWED ONLY - ONLY / BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
