Original Triumph Spitfire — exceptional service history

Rare find: this is the very first Spitfire model ever sold, fully original and beautifully maintained. 1147cc engine, Bakelite steering wheel, original wheels and hubcaps, period-correct switchgear and stickers, Jaeger instruments... this car has kept all of its authenticity.
I bought it in 2015 and am its 3rd owner, with a clear history and a substantial file of invoices to back it up. The original owner's handbook is included with the car.
Registered in France as a historic "Collection" vehicle since 2019. Passed its French roadworthiness test (contrôle technique) in April 2023, valid until 2028 — collector cars in France only need this test every 5 years.
Extensive restoration work has been carried out by professionals since I bought the car (invoices available):
● Exhaust system replaced in 2016 (superb sound)
● Suspension and shock absorbers rebuilt in 2016
● Engine fully rebuilt in 2017; radiator replaced with an improved cooling system
● Wheels repainted in the original off-white in 2017
● Seat cushions redone in 2018
● Soft top replaced in 2019
● Last service in April 2023
● Rear brake kit replaced in November 2023
Like any car of its age it has a few minor cosmetic flaws, but the chrome is immaculate. It drives beautifully and very smoothly.
