Of course, the Triumph Stag is a very special and beautiful car in itself. The characteristic design comes from Michelotti, making it a stylish 4-seater roadster. The Triumph Stag was produced from 1970 to 1977 and almost 26,000 were made. What makes this beautiful and in near perfect condition Triumph Stag extra special and attractive is the fact that this really is one of the first Stags produced. The car has chassis number 89 and the birth certificate present gives a production date of June 1970. This car was delivered to the Dutch importer and has subsequently been on several fairs and exhibitions. The car was registered in 1973. It is therefore an original Dutch car in its original New White colour, originating from a rare pre-series. And what is also special, the car has only had two owners, the last of whom owned the car from 1988.
This Triumph Stag is in exceptionally good condition. The car has been fully restored in the past and the engine block has been overhauled. Of course there are photos of this. The restoration has been expertly carried out, preserving as much originality as possible. This is very important, especially with a car with this background history. Incidentally, the car was also in good condition before restoration, as can be seen in the photos. It is also clearly visible that the car was maintained with great care and love afterwards. Various valuation reports are available, the latest of which (2022) indicates a value of € 37,000.00. There are also a number of maintenance invoices and APK reports available.
The bodywork is in very good condition. The paintwork is still very nice and has a deep shine. The body parts fit nicely and everything feels solid and good. The various chrome parts and trim parts are still in almost new condition. The stylish and original color New White is particularly beautiful with the black leather interior. The present hardtop is also in excellent and very good condition. This also applies to the black convertible top. The interior is also in good condition. The rear seat is almost new and, except for two small spots, the front seats are also in almost new condition. The dashboard is also neat and everything works properly.
Driving is a particularly pleasant experience in this comfortable 4-seater roadster. The beautiful sound from the stainless steel exhaust makes the radio superfluous. Switching is very smooth and the steering also feels very solid and smooth. The wonderful 3.0 V8 engine runs very nicely and quietly and makes both quiet and sporty driving possible. We can only say that we are actually quite proud to be able to offer such a beautiful and wonderfully driving Triumph Stag in our collection.
