Description

This 1957 Triumph TR3 started life under the Californian sun, but oh boy, what a modification this one has been through! Officially though it is registered as a 1958 model with Estonian registration, which sounds like a well-kept secret. In 2010, this British charmer received a serious makeover of some $150,000 in the United States. This was an absolute passion project of the previous owner, with this being his last asset. This handsome rascal shines in red, and is totally unafraid to show some muscle. Check out those custom wheel arch extensions, chrome bumperettes, and those dual side exhaust pipes – it sure knows how to show off.

Inside, it’s like a tasteful cocktail bar. Bucket seats coated in beige vinyl. But this TR3 has a modern twist with a Pioneer stereo system and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. The digital odometer? Well, it reveals that it has only seen a few miles. Under the bonnet is a 347ci Ford stroker V8, giving it a rebellious edge. An Edelbrock four-barrel carburettor and a custom intake with twin taper filters. With a Tremec five-speed gearbox and a Currie 9″ rear axle, this TR3 is ready to gum the rubber off the tyres!
To get all this right on the road though, it has a modified suspension. À la Mustang II-style independent front configuration and a four-link rear configuration, THAT kicks ass!!!
This is a one of a kind in the motoring world, a one of a kind which is unlike any other specimen in motorsport is. If we may make our own comparison, the Carrera GT is an Ardennes draft horse. The Bugatti Chiron an Arabian thoroughbred, then our TR3 is a 500-kilometre buffalo racing through a china shop.

So, if you’re looking for an instant adrenaline rush and putting your steering skills to the test, this 1957 Triumph TR3 is exactly what your neighbour won’t be happy about.
Stop by the Cool Classic Club soon, before this buffalo goes wild.
