This 1961 VW Beetle comes in the classic black (L41) color and still retains most of its first paint. It comes from Sweden – and as many enthusiasts know, Swedish cars are often among the best preserved and most original examples out there.

1961 was a special year for the VW bug, full of updates:

The first year with the 34 DIN hp / 40 SAE hp engine
No more semaphore turn signals
But still with the charming small, oval-shaped taillights
