In 1965 Volvo presents the Amazon, a completely new model, quite different from its predecessors. The design was appreciated from the first second, and the Amazon scored highly when it came to safety. No wonder, then, that many people fall for the model like a brick. The Amazon is also a beloved classic car in the Netherlands, especially among owners who like to drive their cars. This Amazon is right up that street, in a neat condition and driving very well.Volvo 121s are for driving, and so is this good-looking 1966 Amazon. The dark green paint is the original color and combined with the black wheels with original wheel covers, the two-door sedan gives a nice tough impression. The bodywork has already been painted once and has some signs of use or age spots here and there. Nothing worrisome, nothing that catches the eye but the term "concours" we do not take in the mouth here. The interior is also very clean with some signs of use and wear. The black upholstery is all intact and so are instruments, controls and gauges. A car to get in immediately, completely carefree as you are used to with an Amazon, and enjoy. That enjoyment is excellent with this Amazon, not least because a later B20 engine is placed in the front. Slightly more capacity, slightly more power. It is also the B20 B power source, which means that 100 hp is available. The Volvo lets you drive it wonderfully, where you can carefree enjoy being on the road with a very likeable classic. The bottom is solid and free of rust, the technical condition can be described as "neatly maintained".An Amazon that is not only suitable for enthusiasts who occasionally want to make a pleasure trip but also for people who do not want to drive a modern, boring car every day.
