Auto Union: Witnesses to the new beginning
After the Second World War, numerous Auto Union AG vehicles were still on German roads, but the company was dissolved in 1948. There was a great need for spare parts, but also for new cars, so a new company based in Ingolstadt was founded in 1949: Auto Union GmbH. After several takeovers, today’s Audi AG emerged.
