Description

motodrome offer this very smart 1993/K Land Rover Defender 90 200TDi hardtop with side windows, finished in blue with a white roof and white wheels.

fitted with power steering, sliding rear windows, galvanised front bumper, snow cowl, folding sidesteps and rear step, and mudflaps all round

Internally is has the easyclean interior, fully matted load area, and centre cubby box.

At some point, probably 2015-16, it was rebuilt onto a Richards galvanised chassis, had 3 Puma doors fitted (they don’t rust in the same way as the originals) and underwent a repaint, and it still looks very smart and traditional looking, with no chequerplate rash.

Odometer reading 124000 miles, and the last owner has had it since 2017.

In his tenure it’s been regularly serviced by his local specialist, with yearly oil changes, and in 2021 and 118000 miles it underwent a major overhaul including engine removal and new clutch. The engine was rebuilt with new gaskets including head gasket and new cambelt, and the head skimmed.

We have a big file of history back to 2014.

It will come with a fresh 12M MOT and 6 months warranty on sale.

Being a factory 200TDi version, it nips along nicely with good punch from the Turbodiesel motor.

On test on arrival it performed without apparent fault – it’s one of the nicest 200TDi’s I’ve driven.

All in all, it’s a very practical smart, traditional Defender with none of the bells and whistles or bling of later models, but with totally simple mechanics and no electronics to go wrong.

On our own website, you'll find our usual 2 videos – a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, which form part of the description.
