In 1987, it was prepared by SPL/Scandella. In January 1988, it competed in the Dakar Rally with P. Daynes and Patrice Scandella, serving as a rapid support vehicle for Raoul. It participated in all rally-raids of that season thereafter.

In 1990, it was promoted to a press vehicle, including participation in the Dakar Rally with driver Nhat Bui and journalist J. Louis Bernadelli, according to their recollections.
