This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show 2026 on Saturday the 21st of March - Sunday the 22nd of March, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
The Discovery 300Tdi Camel Trophy Limited Edition was produced, featuring a distinctive specification and now regarded as one of the more collectible Discovery variants
Originally intended for a special order to Japan as a training vehicle for Camel Trophy competitors before the order was cancelled, subsequently sold through a Land Rover dealer, and maintained by Gigglepin for many years before undergoing a thorough restoration in late 2024
Finished in Camel Trophy-style livery with the correct expedition inspired exterior details and trim. The seats have been replaced and are correct for the model with the driver’s seat trimmed in leather
Powered by the proven 300Tdi 2.5-litre (2495cc) inline 4-cylinder, direct-injection, turbocharged, 112bhp diesel engine paired with a manual gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive, offering dependable performance and strong off-road capability
Equipped with a range of Camel Trophy themed features as specified by Land Rover Special Vehicles, distinguishing it from standard Discovery models
