Originally a Belgian, left-hand-drive model, it was delivered as a CKD kit to the Belgian company Minerva and subsequently assembled for the Belgian Gendarmerie. Only 149 units of this model were built, and reportedly only three still exist.
The car has undergone a thorough restoration by a specialized Dutch Land Rover restorer, who spared no expense. The process was extensively documented with photographs. The restoration aimed to return the vehicle to its original 1951 condition. The body was disassembled, with new sheet metal fitted where necessary.
