motodrome offer this really distinctive and rare 2004 Land Rover Defender 110 TD5 XS Station Wagon, uprated by Kahn Design/Chelsea Truck Co into one of their ‘wide track’ editions.
Most of the classic Defenders that Kahn converted were 90’s, and we’ve had a couple through our hands in recent years. But I’ve never before seen a 110 thus converted.
.Being the high-spec XS model, t’s fitted with: factory air conditioning, ABS, traction control, remote alarmed central locking with immobiliser, electric front windows, and cold climate pack – heated front seats and windscreen. .
This one started life as a standard 9-seat 110 XS Station wagon in Silver. The last owner, who’s had it since 2014, sent it to Kahn in 2015 for the full conversion, including the rather spectacular interior, and a colour change to Santorini Black. At the time he wanted it turned into the ultimate Defender, and we’re told the final bill just touched six figures…
Externally it has

Internally it’s been beautifully retrimmed by Kahn in black quilted leather with orange accents, as follows
• 4 x GTB bucket seats in quilted leather (no longer a 9 seater)
• Matching quilted cubby boxes front and rear
• Door cards trimmed to match
• Leather-trimmed instrument binnacle and passenger dash area
• Vented, brushed aluminium pedals
• Black and orange quilted headlining
• Additional gauges and switch panel
• Roof console
• Stowage baskets in load area, in place of the original folding seats
• Leisure battery
• Cruise control
• Sports stering wheel
Mechanically, it’s also been uprated with a variable vane turbo, uprated intercooler, and ECU remap, and is probably producing around 200bhp in this form, meaning it really shifts.
It’s also fitted with uprated suspension with 2in lift and heavy-duty arms, uprated brakes, and a stainless steel exhaust.
Odometer reading just 71000 miles, and as above, the last owner has had it since 2014.
It will come with a fresh 12M MOT on sale.
There is paperwork suggesting it’s fitted with a tracker. If so this will require reactivation for use.
We rarely see such a 110 TD5 as this, and to find one with this level of upgrading, and a mileage under 80k is getting harder and harder.
