Beautiful restored rust free Mini Moke from Portugal. With Nl license plate and roadworthy. The Mini Moke was developed by the British Motor Corporation. It was intended for the British Armed Forces, but was rejected because of its low ground clearance and lack of four-wheel drive[ On the other hand, the Moke enjoyed great popularity among, among others, the nouveau riche in fashionable places such as Cannes and Saint-Tropez. The Mini Moke was built in Longbridge, UK until 1968; a total of 14,518 units. From 1966 through 1981, about 26,000 were built at BMC/British Leyland in Australia. Thereafter, the production line was moved to the Portuguese BL plant in Setubál (IMA) where about 8,500 were produced until 1990. In 1989, a batch of 250 Mini Moke 25 was built to celebrate the Mini Moke's 25th year in production. In 1990, the group, now called Rover Group, sold the production facilities to Italian motorcycle manufacturer Cagiva, which built an estimated 1,500 more in Setúbal under the name Cagiva Moke. This put total Moke production at about 50,000 units. In 1993, Cagiva moved its production facilities to Italyë, but production was not resumed.
