Classic Car Fetishes

Among so many exhibitions in the Essen's Techno Classica 2018, it is quite easy to lose track and start wandering around the place like a stressed person making an important phone call. But if one concentrates and looks closely, it's possible to find repeating trends of sorts. Here are a few of those I managed to capture.

Love for tinkering with classics comes from many different fetishes. I believe one of them is that classic car parts are often small mechanical marvels that bring joy on their own. Take a look at these works of art for sale below:

A more modern contender - the mighty Bugatti Veyron with its special hyper-load 365/710 ZR 540A tires mounted on 21 inch wheels. Note these need to be replace every 4000 kilometers and cost around 30000$ per set.

An older, yet also extremely expensive and just as blue Bugatti - the EB 110 Super Sport from 1995. The 32 second of the 32 built. It is fitted with a more modest 325/30 R18s.

Part of the appeal of a classic car is that it often has an interesting story to tell. Here are some of these stories being admired.
