A long time ago, Lamborghini was the most outrageous supercar maker in the world. Wonderful to look at and horrendous to drive.
That was Lamborghini until Audi came along. After that, it looked like cold-blooded Germans find the way to tame wild Lamborghini. Something that excited 8-year old inside every one of us was gone and sense of drama was replaced by sensible-looking creations. Until now.
Ultimate Lamborghini iteration was unveiled at the finals of the Gran Turismo Championship in Monte Carlo and it emphasizes a single-seater layout conceived for a racing game where a passenger is not needed.
Lamborghini says that the driver enters the cabin like a jet fighter pilot, from the front of the car. The main driving controls are located within the futuristic steering wheel and all driver information is projected virtually in front of the driver.
“The Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo is created to provide the ultimate virtual car for young fans and gamers, who are ultra-enthusiastic about Lamborghini and its futuristic aspirations,” said Mitja Borkert, Head of Lamborghini Centro Stile
Despite the fact, that Lamborghini let everyone in Gran Turismo Championship finals appreciate an extremely styled supercar, there is good and bad news.
The bad news is - it won't be built to people who can actually buy and enjoy this supercar racer.
The good news is, it will be available to drive on Gran Turismo Sport in Spring 2020.
